We were retained by a family in Yarmouth to help them improve the landscaping of their home. They had done a great deal of work themselves and wanted professional advice to help them take their property to the next level.
Their goals for the property included:
1. To simplify the landscape, making it easier for a busy family to maintain
2. To integrate it gracefully with the woods surrounding the house
3. To replace misshapen and unhealthy plants
4. To replace a crumbling brick walkway
5. To install a new perennial bed adjacent to the deck
We designed the garden with excellent input from the client. The family had specific likes and, equally valuable to the designer, dislikes. That makes the process much easier.
The client wanted to be involved with the planning and plant selection throughout the process. We collaborated through the design phase and were able to meet her goals.
We removed many substandard plants from the site. They were replaced with more suitable choices. The hardscape was restored by our crew and they installed a new perennial garden near the deck. At the end of the project, we were quite satisfied with
its success. More important, so was the client.
