Annuals
Each season, here at the Farm, we begin the gardening season with our attention sharply focused on a sprawling and diverse group of plants commonly linked together by their inability to survive outdoors (in northern New England, that is) through the winter. In New England, we call these annuals. In this section, you will find what you need to know about this group.
We have also included in this section plants called temp-perennials. This group includes brugmansia, colocasia, phormium, dracaena and other tropical trees or shrubs that we send outside for summer but hasten to bring in prior to the first killing frost. Some say they give their houseplants a vacation outdoors in summer.
